Powered by large, human-curated datasets, InterVenn has developed advanced AI/ML algorithms to industrialize mass spectrometry, the only tool precise enough to measure the composition and location of Post-translational modifications (PTMs) at scale. The company’s first commercially available panel, VENN Vista, can assess blood (serum or plasma) protein glycosylation in a site-specific manner across more than 500 peptides and glycopeptides. Site-specific measurement of protein glycoforms provides unique insight into protein functionality that traditional immunoassays or aptamer-based approaches do not deliver. The firm has also built an open access online portal, OpenPIP, providing state-of-the-art neural networks for mass spectrometry peak integration.
InterVenn has developed GLORI, a first-in-class mass spec-based glycoproteomic clinical diagnostic test for ovarian cancer. This simple blood test will enable clinicians to distinguish benign and malignant masses in women with adnexal (pelvic) masses. Intervenn has also raised Series C financing from SoftBank Group, Heritage Provider Network, Irving Investors, and Highside Capital Management. The fund will predominantly be allocated for the development and commercialization of DAWN, a blood-based test aimed at helping physicians match cancer patients to immuno-oncology therapy with the best possible chance of response.
